Yes. GradeForge is offline-first and stores pupil data with AES-256-GCM encryption in a protected store on your device. There is no GradeForge server. The only network activity is the Google sync you explicitly trigger with your own account. A DPIA and STRIDE security review are complete.
Every AI feature is opt-in. Pupil names are shielded before any request and restored locally, with a panel showing exactly what was sent, and you approve every result. Transcription and the Welsh and English voices run fully on-device, with no internet.
